Change your life with Crystal!

Crystals are powerful, change agents, transformational tools, capable of even turning sound into light.

We think crystals to be both inert and lifeless, in reality  they constitute and comprise the  essence of physical energy .

Our bodies, like crystals, are composed of silicone and water, and that is why we can feel the vibration of a crystal  within us. Crystals  enable us to communicate and connect with higher levels of consciousness and  help change our past .

Pink Kunzite, you will see that it has shades of both Pink and a pale Violet. Thus it reflects the Pink of the heart and Unconditional Love, and the Violet of the higher mind and Wisdom.

·         Rapid transformation of energy can place Pink Kunzite in the house.

·         For emotional blockages wear it around your neck or carry with you.

·         If you are seeking true love, get hold of Pink Kunzite

·         For children who seem to be having difficulty adjusting to the demands of life, coping with life, or functioning without fear, Pink Kunzite is one of the best stones to give them.

·         For teens who fear rejection , Pink Kunzite helps give them the inner strength to love without fear and become invulnerable to the un-loving attitudes of others.

·        Crystals can pull energy into the crystal or conduct it out. Thus, a gem such as malachite has the ability to remove negative energy, yet if it is not cleared regularly, it will retain that energy and amplify it.

Luxury Oberoi way!

Luxury hotels and travel - World's largest living wall at the Oberoi, Gurgaon
The Oberoi, Gurgaon, has the world's largest living wall
Time to talk India, where there is always something interesting happening.  Leepakshi Chopra, the luxuryindia gal-to-know when it comes to the Indian luxury scene, says The Oberoi, Gurgaon has taken the world by a storm (she admits an insider interest – her husband, Kapil Chopra, is VP for this sensational hotel and its adjacent sibling, Trident Gurgaon).
Leepakshi says the 187-room Oberoi, Gurgaon is definitely ‘one of the most design-oriented hotels with stunning views – and it challenges conventional city hotel design norms in every way.
‘Take the arrival. You pass through 10,000 sq m of forested driveway which takes you up, four floors in height, to a shining steel and glass lobby on the top floor of the hotel. This ‘forest’ drops off, from a height of 20 metres, becoming the largest vertical green wall in the world. It is quite a sight to see a 20-metre tall vertical green wall, 109 metres long.
And it has a twin, parallel to it – and between the two is a 120-metre wide cobalt-blue decorative pool.  At the far end, 180 metres away, teakwood dining decks allow you to sit and eat, or merely watch, just a few metres from the water.
‘Retail brands in India are reporting 30% year-on-year growth in sales. And there are new luxury store openings virtually every month. Genesis Luxury owns the rights to some of the most iconic brands in India including Bottega Veneta, Burberry, Canali, Etro and Jimmy Choo. Genesis’ Sanjay Kapoor believes that Indians are embracing luxury more than ever and are quite discerning in their tastes now. He says values are reasonable and hence sales are on an uptick.
Luxury hotels and travel - India's film 'star' Bagwati is Hermès Kelly bag
Film 'star' Bagwati
‘A hit Hindi film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (“You live only once”) included a very unusual character, Bagwati. Bagwati is, in fact, a Hermès Kelly bag in orange ostrich skin, wearing a hat and sunglasses.
Fans went a step ahead to create Facebook pages and followed Bagwati on Twitter.  This Bollywood character indicates the growth of luxury product placements in Hindi movies.
Other famous brands that had their turn in the spotlight include Chanel in Punit Malhora’s “I Hate Luv Storys”, with Sammir Dattani, Sonam Kapoor and Imran Khan, and Christian Dior in “Aisha”, Rajshree Ojha’s modern-day take on Jane Austen’s Emma, starring Abhay Deol and, again, Sonam Kapoor.  In both romantic comedies the movies won more accolades for trendy clothes and accessories!
‘There is also a parallel economy in India, where the amount of unaccounted cash transactions is maybe the highest in the world. This means there is huge unaccounted money and India’s rich are enjoying access to luxury retail.

‘Key international brands want to be part of the act.   Industry body CII, led by president B. Muthuraman of Tata, and The Economic Times hosted a roundtable on October 11th, 2011. Participants included Angela Ahrendts from Burberry, Michele Norsa from Salvatore Ferragamo and Joshua Schulman from Jimmy Choo.
Also, one of the high points during the conference was the opening of the Jimmy Choo store at The Oberoi, Gurgaon, and a great party that followed. The markets may be down and inflation is high – but luxury retail and hospitality in India is on a glorious rise!’   Thanks Leepakshi, look forward to your next report!

Luxury at an arm's length

Taittinger Bubble at Paris Hilton Arc de Triomphe
..and his Taittinger Bubble at Paris Hilton Arc de Triomphe
Every now and again a bit of fantasy – call it day-dreaming – is good for a hard- working gal.  How about lying back with a glass of Taittinger in a big plastic bubble?
Look up, at the skyline of Paris above you… yes, it is possible, thanks to the pop-up Bubble Bar that currently occupies the Andalusian Patio courtyard of Hilton Arc de Triomphe in Paris.
The 16-foot diameter construction is an installation artwork by Jean-Hugues de Chatillon, a scenographer for Paris opera and ballet. Well, it is certainly different, and it should sell a lot of Champagne (wonder if my friend Oleg Kcould take his Louboutin flute there, for the evening?)

Even though luxury hotels are my life, it is good to have a couple of days off.  Time to think about shopping.  I came across Melissa Briggs Bradley’s marvelous online emporium, which she calls Indegare Souk(Indegare is her bespoke travel company).

I especially like thisEric Raisina stole, 100% silk organza, hand-made in Cambodia.  It measures 93 by 31 inches.   It would be just the thing to take on the next girlahead trip – surprise surprise, with no reward for guessing the destination.
There is still a joy in real, paper-in-envelope Christmas cards, especially when they support charities or show photos of friends and their families.  The worst card so far is from a German hotelier in Hamburg who simply emailed me, and presumably all his ‘linked-in’ friends, with an impersonal message saying happy Christmas everyone.  No style.
Foued El Mabrouk and choristers from Dulwich College Shanghai
Foued El Mabrouk and choristers from Dulwich College Shanghai
Lots of style at Grand Hyatt Shanghai, one of the most vibrant of all great hotels in that unique city. Newly-arrived boss Foued El Mabrouk – a Tunisian who came to Beijing in 1983 to study law and never got round to using his return ticket home – has brought in kids from Dulwich College Shanghai to sing carols.
This is somewhat poignant since my father was Classical Sixth form master at the – original – Dulwich College, the one to the south-east of London that has a famous Art Gallery.
More style in India, where girlahead’s girl-on-the-spot, Leepakshi Chopra, keeps us up to date on gold.
The Mia jewellery range
The Mia jewellery range
“India has always had a special relationship with gold, in temple treasures and household savings. People buy it for ornamental reasons – and for security.  Right now some jewellers have shifted to imitation jewellery temporarily. Rajkot in Gujarat is home to more than 100 thousand gold and silver jewellery makers, around 40% of whom have switched to working cheaper imitation jewellery.
It looks like gold but is a fraction of the cost. Tata Group’s jewellery brand Tanishq has launched a sub brand Mia, targeting youthful women on the go, and with over five million working women in India this segment has a large growth potential”, she says.

Leepakshi also sent across an image of the famous Ambani ‘little house’.  You know the one I mean.  “It is named Antilia, after a mythical island, and from the outside it resembles a condominium tower or a set of Lego building blocks (inside it more spatial than Versailles)”, says Leepakshi, who herself understands real luxury in her role as consultant and travel advisor.
“Over 550 feet high, Antilia has three helipads, a health club, a dance studio, a 50-seat theatre and underground parking for over 150 cars. Surprisingly, Mukesh Ambani still has not moved in and informal sources indicate bad ‘Vastu’, the Indian version of Feng Shui”.
The girlahead mega-breakfast, every day at home in England
The girlahead mega-breakfast, every day at home in England
Ok, well and good.  May Ambani and his family enjoy flaunting their wealth.  Personally I love my own home, which flaunts – nothing.  For a couple of days, I am here and writing about, the luxury hotels I shall be visiting within a few days.
Meanwhile, I start every day with a good English Breakfast, 21st century style.  Masses of fresh fruit, juice squeezed by My Man, Greek yoghurt (by Total) and home-made bread, plus a Brazil nut. What else does a girl need?
